Maxine P. Wilson

St. Helen resident Maxine P. Wilson, 93, died July 6, 2017, at her home.

A service was held July 10 at Steuer­nol & McLaren Funeral Home, St. Hel­en. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.

She was born March 6, 1924, in At­lanta, to William and Albertha (Brown) Thompson. She had lived in St. Helen since 1972 and was formerly of Hazel Park.

She worked in factories during World War II and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #416, St. Helen. She was a Boy Scout leader and enjoyed reading, crocheting, flowers and doing word search puzzles. She was an aunt and great-aunt many times over.

Preceding her in death were her hus­band, Arnold Wilson; parents, William and Albertha; siblings, Ralph (Margie) Thompson, Althea (Harry) Seeger, Joyce (Luther) Kern and Betty Thompson; daughter-in-law, Pam Wilson; and great- grandchildren, Emily, Ashleigh and Jack Kulik.

Surviving are her children, Phyl­lis (Ronald) Tommas, Arnold Wilson and Debra (Harold) Reno of St. Helen; grandchildren, Sherry (Paul) Kulik, Cindy (Gary) Zehnder, Jodi Tommas, Shannon Reno, Stacie Miller and Nathan (Jody) Wilson; and many great-grand­children and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands in West Branch.
