Author Nicole McGill to review book ‘Unchained’ at RADL April 3

Houghton Lake author Nicole McGill will review her recently published book “Unchained” at Roscommon Area District Library April 3 beginning at 4:30 p.m.

“Unchained” has a main character in Karen Van Olsen, who went from a life of luxury to the horror of mediocrity. Van Olsen must change her ways in order to receive her hefty inheritance. Forced to move away from easy money, she has to learn how to survive in an ordinary world and make a life of her own. Ordinary, however, was not a part of her vocabulary. Landing a job at an animal shelter, she soon develops a passion for the unwanted. Determined to save them all, she teams up with her best friend and dives head first into the world of rescue…without realizing just how consuming it could get.

McGill’s goal is to raise enough money to clear animals with her local movement called “Operation: Clear the Shelters.” While at RADL, McGill will share her book and answer questions patrons may have.

For information on McGill’s presentation, call RADL at 281-1305.
