Houghton Lake Sportsmen’s Club Annual Gun Show April 7

The Houghton Lake Sportsmen’s Club will hold its 5th Annual Gun Show April 7 at the Columbian Home Hall, Prudenville.

The show will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the hall, 833 West West Branch Rd. (M-55). Admission is $5 for adults and children under 12 are free when ac­companied by an adult.

Vendors from around the state will be displaying their inventory and collec­tion of rifles, shotguns, pistols, ammuni­tion, holsters, scopes, lasers, archery and hunting equipment, knives, belts, acces­sories and military items. Seventy ven­dors will be on site to buy, sell or trade their wares. Door prizes will be given away throughout the day and raffle tick­ets will be sold. Refreshments provided by the Houghton Lake Columbian Home Hall Ladies Auxiliary, will be available.

The Houghton Lake Sportsmen’s Club will have a table at the event and information about the group is also available at sites.google.com/site/hough­tonlakesportsmensclub. The club spon­sors youth programs, organizes rifle, pistol and archery leagues and matches, hosts National Rifle Association and United States Practical Shooting Asso­ciation matches, participates in Hough­ton Lake Middle School Enrichment Days and is the host club for the Project Appleseed Program. The club also pro­vides indoor and outdoor firearm and archery range facilities to its members.

According to organizers, “It is a family-friendly organization providing a safe environment for anyone interested in firearm and archery shooting sports. New members are always welcomed at the monthly meetings that take place on the first Monday of each month.”
